AVID Program
Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) is an in-school academic support program for grades six through twelve. The purpose of the program is to prepare students for college eligibility and success. AVID places academically average students in advanced classes; levels the playing field for minority, rural, low-income, and other students without a college-going tradition in their families; and targets students in the academic middle--B, C, and even D students who have the desire to go to University, Community College, or Trade School and the willingness to work hard.
The student informational meeting is Tuesday, March 5, during their PE class in the FDR. Applications open March 4 and are due Thursday, March 14 (those received late will be placed on waiting list).
5th graders applications will be due April 26, after several campus visits.
Clement Middle School AVID is now accepting applications for the 2024-25 school year.
